Delete your account

Underhook — Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practice app, by Underhook.

You can delete your Underhook account and everything stored with it. There are two ways, and both end in the same place.

In the app, in three taps

  1. Open the Profile tab and tap the gear in the top right to open Settings.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
  3. Confirm. The account and its data are removed from our servers and the app returns to its first screen.

This works on both Android and iPhone, and it is immediate.

By request, if you no longer have the app

Email us from the address your account uses and ask for deletion. Say "delete my Underhook account" — nothing else is needed.

hello@underhook.xyz

We action these within 30 days and reply when it is done. If you signed in with Google or with Apple, send the mail from that same address so we can match the account; if you cannot, tell us the display name and academy on the profile and we will confirm identity another way before deleting anything.

What is deleted

Check-in photos are never uploaded to us — they stay on your phone, and deleting the app removes them with everything else stored on the device.

What is kept, and for how long

Deleting only part of your data, and keeping the account

You do not have to close the account to get rid of something in it. Some of it you can change yourself in Profile → Edit profile: your display name, your belt and stripes, your academy.

For anything else, ask us and we will do it by hand. Email the address above from the account's own address, naming what should go — for example:

Same terms as a full deletion: we action it within 30 days and reply when it is done. What we cannot remove this way is the purchase record the stores keep, and a partial deletion never cancels a subscription.
